The concept Lean In is focused on Encouraging women to pursue their ambitions, and changing the conversation from what we can’t do to what we can do. Its vision is to offer women the ongoing inspiration and support to help them achieve their goals.
📍 Lean In IGDTUW is the first Engineering University Lean In Chapter in India, and among the first five chapters of the World.
Our vision is to encourage women of our university to believe in themselves, raise their hands, sit at the table and do what they would do if they weren’t afraid.
Lean In IGDTUW with the vision “We rise by lifting others”, was established in 2014. In the past 6 years of its functioning, it has achieved great heights with the involvement of 1600+ girls. Establishing a culture of sisterhood on campus through peer learning has been the motto of Lean In all along.
How do we operate?
We introduce Circles for learning different Tech Stacks, like Data Structures and Algorithms, Web Development, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, and so on. These sessions not just promote learning, but bridge the gap between the Seniors and Juniors on campus.
We interview a diverse group of Seniors every year, for the selection of Circle Mentors. These Mentors then take up the Sessions, teach the mentees, resolve their doubts, and We as a Core team Manage these Circles and create an inclusive environment. We make sure that no one hesitates ever to raise their hands and lean in.

and much more… to celebrate the Amazing and Worthy women all around.
Apart from the circles, we have also curated two very special segments, Campus Chronicles👩🏻💻 which will bring you the stories of the in-house IGDTUWites, and, Alumnae Insights 🎓 which will connect the students to the alumni who have made a mark in the industry.
With 10 core team members, 39 mentors, We are all set to Kickstart our 2021–22 Cohort.
